Dr. Debra Sutton is a Level Two trained IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapist and certified Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) with a Masters in Divinity.

Women and men are drawn to Dr. Debra for her ability to help people resolve and heal troubling emotions and relationships. She does this by creating a calm and safe environment in which clients build upon their present strengths, develop skills to listen and communicate effectively, and create new patterns for healthy relationships.

Debra’s therapy style is integrative, incorporating affective, cognitive, and behavioral approaches, including EMDR to help clients resolve traumatic events interfering with present life events and relationships.

Debra has provided individual and relationship therapy for more than 20 years. Her areas of expertise include trauma, communication, sexuality and intimacy, issue related to spirituality/religion, work-life balance, parenting, transitions, and grief and loss. Debra, an LGBTQ ally, believes in the value of all people and relationships.

Debra’s mosaic of experiences have contributed to her dynamic therapeutic skills and systems thinker. As an academic and ordained minister, with a PhD in Human Sexuality, Debra teaches graduate courses in Human Sexuality and Family Systems theory and facilitates various workshops and sacred retreats. As a labyrinth facilitator, Debra invites individuals and groups to practice mindfulness in each step.
