Challenges have a way of “breaking” us. “I’m broken inside”; “My heart is broken”…are phrases that convey that a part of us is fractured, and we fear that it is irreparably so. I have known this brokenness – the sudden death of a parent, a broken engagement, a job that was eliminated…and the list continues. That is until I saw a pic of a real African lion. THAT lion had scars. And THAT lion was, I realized, was just like me, and you…Whole in Its’ Brokenness.
